Anchor Land searches for architect to recreate Admiral Hotel

Manila’s love affair with European-style living at the heart of the city has been rekindled when Anchor Land Holdings, Inc. (ALHI) acquired the historic Admiral Hotel from the Lopez-Araneta family in 2009.

ALHI, one of the country’s fastest rising real estate developers, has conceived a high-end condominium to cater to discriminating men and women who appreciate the finer points of luxurious European-style living in sync with fast-paced, modern lifestyles.

The search is on for an architect to recreate a genuine European look and feel from the layout to the smallest detail of this soon-to-rise boutique hotel and condominium along Roxas Boulevard that will cater to an ultra-elite clientele, which Anchor Land calls "the privileged fewer."

Three buildings will comprise the Admiral BaySuites, including the old Admiral Hotel, which will be turned into a boutique hotel while preserving its original structure. Aside from the usual amenities of boutique hotels, Admiral BaySuites will feature first-class intercontinental restaurants to be operated by a top hotel chain, as well as a spa facing the bay to provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation.

Beyond brick and mortar, the one feature that distinguishes between a good and a great living experience is service. To this end, Admiral BaySuites’ boutique hotel patterns its in-house service to the white-gloved touch that historic and reputable European institutions are known the world over.

Right behind the boutique hotel will rise the first of the two 50-storey towers that will house the condominium units and its amenities. Since the old Admiral Hotel in front has eight floors, the residential rooms on Tower 1 will start on the ninth floor. All units facing the bayside will have balconies, guaranteeing a scenic view of Manila Bay.

Tower 1 will house loft-type premier units, each having a total floor area between 600 and 800 sqm. Tower 1 unit owners will enjoy all the privileges that the boutique hotel offers, including hotel-type room service, a yacht service, wine cellar, private and sky lounges, cigar rooms, and a helipad.

Tower 2 will be built behind Tower 1. Residential rooms will likewise start on the ninth floor, and will have balconies for a panoramic view of the city. Tower 2 is a more practical choice for the middle high-class businessmen and professionals seeking the comforts of condominium living and still enjoy a taste of Europe.

With Admiral BaySuites, ALHI aims to meet the wishes of the most discriminating individuals with the capability to savor all that life has to offer, in an atmosphere of utmost exclusivity, privilege and luxury.

The privileged fewer won’t settle for anything less.
